CoreTrustSeal Assembly of Reviewer Workshop series

CoreTrustSeal and FAIRsFAIR are organising a series of workshops from 6-25 May 2021. The workshops consist of a series of four interactive sessions over the course of four weeks and an optional “Open Coffee hour”. It will give the CoreTrustSeal Assembly of Reviewers the opportunity to hone their “reviewer skills” by discussing practical questions pertaining to the review process (e.g. What are the CoreTrustSeal expectations from applicants? How detailed should reviewer feedback be?). In addition, these workshops will foster the exchange of more general ideas about repository certification today and tomorrow.

Note: Participation to the workshops is possible through invitation.

AGENDA

Session 1:
Welcoming Plenary (1 hr): CoreTrustSeal certification: building a community of confident reviewers and satisfied applicants

1. Thursday May 6, 2021 @ 14:00-15:00 hrs UTC
2. The welcome session will introduce the workshop series. It will provide an overview of the wider certification environment and how CoreTrustSeal and its application process sit within.

Session 2:
Understanding CoreTrustSeal requirements from the applicants’ point of view (interactive workshop: 1,5 hrs)

1. This session will be run twice to allow for participation in different time zones. You could either join on:
• Tuesday May 11, 2021 @ 08:00-09:30 UTC or
• Tuesday May 11, 2021 @ 14:00-15:30 UTC.
2. The objective of the session is to explain the CoreTrustSeal Requirements in regard to applicant response statements and clarify existing questions.

Optional “Open Coffee hour”

1. Friday May 14, 2021 @ 14:00-15:00 UTC
2. The session provides you the opportunity to network with fellow reviewers and ask any additional questions and exchange thoughts in an informal setting.

Session 3:
Quality, alignment of, and confidence in CoreTrustSeal certification reviews (interactive workshop: 1,5 hrs)

1. This session will be run twice to allow for participation in different time zones. You could either join on:
• Tuesday May 18, 2021 @ 08:00-09:30 UTC or
• Tuesday May 18, 2021 @ 14:00-15:30 UTC
2. The objective of the session is to discuss and identify ways to improve coherence in CoreTrustSeal reviews.

Session 4:
Closing Plenary (1 hr): Taking CoreTrustSeal certification process a step forward.

2. This session invites participants to look ahead and focuses on continued quality, coherence and confidence. It aims to understand priorities to help guide future work.
